Illinois Video Poker Machines – Remove the Gray Video Poker Machines!

Hearing much excitement for the much anticipated integration of the legalized Video Poker Machines, there is a small handful of bar owners that are complaining about removing their current Illegal Gray’s video poker machines. Let us again review the following sentence….. “They are complaining about  removing their current ILLEGAL video poker machines!”  Is there something wrong with this statement or am I the only one that looses IQ points when reading  this quote!

I want to believe that the majority of us, meaning bar owners, have some type of common sense when it comes to business practices.  So lets get on track and start playing by the rules, as this new law will place thousands of dollars into our pockets every year, legally!   All this, with almost no cost to the bar or restaurant owner.

So here is the story behind the current ILLEGAL Gray Video Poker Machines.  If you currently have had a fine or have been prosecuted for any Illegal video poker machines, then you are out of luck in participating in the current LEGAL video poker machines. If you have been lucky enough to slide by with your under the table gambling business, then you need to get rid of the machines immediately. The Illinois Gambling Board will be inspecting locations as early as July 2010.  If you are found in possession of these gaming machines, then you will not be allowed to apply for the new legal video poker machines and you will have to still remove the Grays’ machines.  So, if you plan to have your bar get a slice of this new billion dollar industry, it would be in your best interest to remove the other machines.  Don’t worry, the new ones are expected to make you five times more profit and its LEGAL!

Gov. Pat Quinn signed the Video Gaming Act in July, clearing the way for an estimated 40,000 regulated video lottery terminals to come online by late 2010 or early 2011.   Make sure you are taking the proper steps in getting your bar or restaurant on the list for this great opportunity!
